Do I have to alert the Local Authority to change the name of my house.
The answer depends on whether you want to add the house name to the official register. If your house already has a number and you just want your house to be called a name with your number then you can do this without purchasing our kit and without alerting the local authority. But if you wish to make it official then you must alert the local authority. Purchasing our easy house name change kit is the simplest answer. As mentioned above there is no guarantee the change of name house name will be accepted. Both Royal Mail and the Local Parish Council will have a say in the matter. If for example you are choosing a house name that already exists this will be rejected. In addition, if you choose a name that the council deem to be offensive or in bad taste then again the will reject the application. These types of rejections are not covered by our purchase guarantee.
Do I need to change my Will if change my house name.
Probably not, but have you gifted your property in your Will? Is your property owned by or gifted to a Trust on your death? If the answer is yes then consult your Willwriter.
